Meizu 16T: Design and Display
The Meizu 16T features an all-glass design and comes in three colors: Green, Orange, and Blue. It has a glass back on the rear and a 6.5-inch (2232 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ Super AMOLED display. The display offers up to 600 nits of brightness and supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. Since there is no fingerprint scanner on the rear, the display has a Super mTouch in-display fingerprint scanner integrated into the display for authentication, which, according to the company, takes only 0.2 seconds to unlock the device.
Meizu 16T: Performance
At its core, the 16T comes with an octa-core Snapdragon 855 processor with Adreno 640 GPU running under the hood, paired with 6GB / 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB / 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. To power everything, the device has a 4500mAh, which comes with 18W mCharge fast charging support to offer faster-charging speeds. Further, the 16T comes with Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, USB Type-C, dual stereo speakers, 3.5mm audio jack, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. On the software front, the phone runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) out of the box, with the company’s FlymeOS 7 on top. It is expected to get an upgrade to FlymeOS 8 sometime soon.
Meizu 16T: Camera
For optics, the Meizu 16T sports a triple camera setup with LED flash on the rear, aligned vertically, which includes a 12MP primary Sony IMX362 sensor with f/1.9 aperture, a 5MP secondary Samsung 5E9 sensor with f/1.9 aperture, and an 8MP 118° ultra-wide lens with Samsung 4H7 sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Towards the front, it has a 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and face unlock.
Meizu 16T: Pricing and Availability
The Meizu 16T comes in three configurations: 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB, priced at 1999 yuan (~USD 282 / INR 20,037), 2299 yuan (~USD 324 / INR 23,044), and 2499 yuan (~USD 353 / INR 25,051) respectively. It is available for pre-order starting today and will go on sale in China starting October 28.
